Exide Industries manufactures a wide range of traction batteries specifically designed for electric forklifts, pallet trucks, stackers, and other material handling equipment. These batteries provide the high current and deep-cycle durability required for heavy-duty industrial use.
⚙️ Battery Types & Technologies
🔹 Tubular Flooded Lead-Acid (FLA) – PzS / PzB Series
Traditional and widely used in electric forklifts.
Durable with a high number of deep discharge cycles.
Requires regular water topping and maintenance.
🔹 Maintenance-Free Gel/VRLA (Sealed)
No water topping needed.
Suitable for indoor use and cleanroom operations.
Slightly more expensive with slightly reduced cycle life.
🔹 Lithium-ion (Emerging)
Low maintenance, high charge/discharge efficiency.
Fast charging (1–2 hours), longer lifespan.
Currently less common in Exide’s Indian range but expanding.
